Spring Movements

Mechanical movements with a running time of either 7 or 14 days per winding. For wall clocks with pendulums (regulators), table clocks with balance regulators.
Their common features are:

• Front winding with key.
• Made in Southern Germany.
• Dial mounting with blindplate and dial feet.

In mechanical clock movements, the length of the pendulum is determined by the movement's gear ratios. Therefore, the indicated pendulum length cannot arbitrarely be altered.

Pendulum Swing
This measurement indicates the vibration of the pendulum measured at the circumference of its bob. In order to provide sufficient clearance for the pendulum bob, the inside width of a clock case should be approx. 2 cm greater than the pendulum's swing.
