Trowalizing machines + accessories
Clarification of the term trowalizing
The word Trowalizing refers to a machine polishing process for treating metal surfaces with vibratory ground bodies made of special ceramics or solid stainless steel bodies. This technology was developed by Walter Trowall and is often used in the industrial sector. Achieve better polishing results thanks to the polygonal internal structure of the 4.3 liter neoprene drum. The special polygonal internal structure of the neoprene drum provides an improved surface finish.

We distinguish between two process technologies:
1. The abrasive process with ceramic grinding media. Use F for the processing of sensitive articles that cannot withstand any or only minimal changes in shape and size, such as clockworks, gears, drives, plates, springs, etc. But also for the end-oxidation of sensitive housing parts - without depreciation due to loss of material - as is unavoidable with machine polishing, for example. Other material-friendly applications: cutlery, furniture fittings, tools, collectibles made of metal.
2. The compacting process with a solid stainless steel body. A proven process that is mainly used successfully for polishing jewelry and gold and silver alloys. Note: This process should not be used with clockworks, because the stainless steel bodies leave minimal contact points on the surface to be processed and can also influence the shape and size.
Ideal for the processing (cleaning and light polishing) of dismantled clockworks as well as weights, pendulums, pendants, decorative parts and tools made of metal. Vibratory grinding bodies made of ceramics in connection with a water-soluble cleaning concentrate (compound) are used in tumbling machines.
The meaning and purpose of rotary rolling machines:
The use of the machines makes work enormously easier and saves time. The tumbling process often offers better results than manual processing and is gentler on the material, more environmentally friendly and healthier. Simultaneous processing of many parts is possible without any problems. The ceramic bodies separate the parts of the movement during barrel processing so that there is no contact whatsoever. Rust and oxidation are very gently removed from the surface of the material when using the special ceramic vibratory grinding bodies offered. When using stainless steel polishing bodies, a fine high gloss is created on the surface of the jewelry. The surface is additionally compacted. Also suitable for structured surfaces.
What you need:
Tumbling machine: You can choose here. We offer you the Lortone 33B tumbling machine. This has two drums with a capacity of 0.8 l each and a diameter of 16.5 cm, well suited for alarm clockworks or parts of the movement. Also in the range: The Lortone QT 12, each with a drum with a capacity of 4.3 l and a diameter of 20 cm, well suited for all common large clockworks (except for grandfather clock plates). The cleaning concentrate (compound) consists of biodegradable surfactants and corrosion inhibitors as well as unspecified salts of organic acids that do not attack the special drums.
